Gwyneth Olofsson owes her strange name to her Welsh mother and her Swedish husband. She was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England and has an MA in English literature, and postgraduate qualifications in education and in TEFL. After teaching in England and Singapore she came to Sweden over twenty years ago where she established Communico, a company working with training and translation.
Communico is made up of a small group of consultants offering high-quality services to a limited number of clients. The company provides English coaching and intercultural training, as well as a translation service.
Gwyneth has published two books, Everyone Makes Mistakes, on the problems which arise when one speaks "Swenglish", and the other, When In Rome or Rio or Riyadh, on how to work successfully across national and cultural borders. She also writes a regular intercultural column for the Volvo Group's internal magazine Global and is a member of SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education Training and Research).
She has written a third book, The Guide to Business with Earthlings, which you can access on-line for free.
